Chapter 2
The Detachment Principle

In a fight, the Detachment Principle teaches us to achieve optimal efficiency through deliberate disconnection from our opponent. In life, it informs us on when holding on does more harm than good, and when letting go does more good than imagined.

In chapter two, Rener discusses the extent to which he relied on the Detachment Principle to cope with the loss of his mother who tragically passed away after being struck with a rare form of cancer.
